TE AWAMUTU.

Saturday, November 23. Messrs Couyers and Lawson made a flying visit to this place yesterday afternoon, leaving again this morning for Auckland. Mr Stewart came with them, but, though they went over both sites of the proposed station, aud no doubt fully up their minds on the subject, not a hint even was dropped as to whereabout the station should be placed. There is little or no news stirring in the district. The principal event now looked for is the review and races to take place on Friday. The welter weights issued in your paper of Thursday appear not to have given general satisfaction.—From a Correspondent.
