complimentary vots to the Chairman terminated fche proceedings. . The largest lot of produce, consisting principally of wheat and maize, that has hitherto heen shipped from hero m oiio lot, waH Honfc down by Mr Oliver, fco the Ngaruawahia Mill, last week, consisting, I am informed, of 1500 bushels. There is no particular native news this week. The up-country native, aire generally hard at work, finishing potato plauting. A number of them arc thinking of obtaining work on the railway extension, after they have finished their crops. My attention has been drawn to a paragraph m fche 'Herald's' Correspondent's letter, published on Saturday last, stating that Mr X.. F. Lacou, the Eegistrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages, had sent m his resignation of the office, aud that another appointment would be made at Te Awamutu.
