My attention has been drawn to a paragraph m fche 'Herald's' Correspondent's letter, published on Saturday last, stating that Mr X.. F. Lacou, the Eegistrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages, had sent m his resignation of the office, aud that another appointment would be made at Te Awamutu.
