A LABOUR-SAVING PLOUGH..
A roNTEitPOTUttY m noticing some improvements m progress on au estate of Mr Lackey's, m the Mossvale district, thus favorably noiices an American gang plough which he has m use : — " Its peculiar recommendation is that it can be used when an ordiuaiy plough, Qa», and
does from two to two and a half acres per day m a bettor style than with the old hand plough, while a bpy, *ho cj^tide on a seat or ■wralk airhe pleases, is only required to: drive the team, no/ experienced ploughman being-wanted. Four borsea or; six' bullocks can be used. The plough we examined at the farrh has been worked by Mr Lackey, at Woodville, for ' the past three years, and did every season 80 to 100 acres. Mr Lackey strongly recommends any of his neighbors who have ploughing work to do to purchase an American gang plough. There is no complicated machinery about them, and therefore they cost no more to keep m repair than an ordinary plough.
