LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. [I*RKSS AGENCY.] -. Wednesday. UAtLWAYS CONSTRUCTION BLJiL. An effort was made to have the lines in the schedule to the Railway Bill considered seriatim- This was resisted by the Colonial Secretary, and the schedule passed as a whole by 20 to 9. The Bill was then reported. IN COMMITTEE. The Special Powers and Contracts Bill wan committed) amended, and reported. VARIOUS BILLS. At the evening sitting, the Council considered the amendments of the House of Representatives in the Municipal Corporation Bill. Some were agreed to, and some were not. The Bill was sent back. Tho like was done with the Rating Bill. The Railway Construction Bill was then read a third time, and passed ; and the Council went into committee on th.3 Public Works Amendment Bill, which was amended., and then reported.
