The Upper House is altering the late Government Bills in such a manner that it is doubtful if the prorogation will be possible tomorrow, although most of the members of the Lower House will have left by to-morrow night. The supplementary additional estimates amount to £24,170 ; amongst the items is one of arrears oi per nous to recipients of the New Zealand Cross, .£1,530. Mr Fox's special wire arrangement was negatived by 37 to 23. The trovernment have replied to Mr Barton, that no enquiry can be granted, as his charges against the tfudges are not sufficiently special. He is going to move for an enquiry, and repeat tbe charges in still more special form.
Tho Premier has announced that the Electoral Bill is to be dropped. The Appropriation Bill has been introduced.
