WAIPA ELECTION.
RESULT OF THE POLLING. The following are the results at the several polling places, as yet known
This gives a majority of thirtythree for Mr McMinu. The return from Raglan is not yet in, but will not affect the result. As far as political principles go, there was little difference between the two candidates, for both were supporters of the present Government measures, and we congratulate Mr McMinn, who personally has conducted the contest as becomes a punctilious and honorable opponent, on his success. Mr Whitaker will doubtless address the electors at noon, when the declaration will be made at the Courthouse, Hamilton.
