To Mr Kennedy Hill.— (Per favor of the

Waikato Tesjes.)

Sir, — I have just read your reply to my letter m reference to the fraudulent insertion of my name m Mr Whitaker's requisition list. 'As I find but one " William Johns'" name on the present Electoral Eoll for Waipa, you will greatly oblige me by explaining how that name appears m the list aforesaid. Should you do so satisfactorily, I shall feel obliged, and will, m fact, deem it my duty to apologise to you.— l am, &c, "War Johns.

Mr Whitalcer's committee has handed us the following letter, m reply to the above : —

Sir, — Having seen the correspondence m the Waikato Times m refereuce^to the signature of W. Johns to Mr Whitaker's requisition I beg to state that being asked to sign the requisition, and believing myself to be an elector, having had a qualification for the past ten years, I did so, hence the name upon tho requisition, which my Te Awamutu namesake has appropriated as his own. — I am, &c, "W. Johns.
