LONDON, April 30. ; The area of Lancashire strike i s extending. A mill-owner has been mobbed at Preston. The weavers propose a mixed Board to arbitrate, under the presidency of the Bishop of Manchester. The employers refuse this request. [reuter's special cablegrams.] LONDON, May 1. Mr Cross, speaking at Preston, said that the Government insisted upon the maintenance of existing treaties. He denied that theirs was a war policy. LONDON, May 2. The ciptain of the Cambria states that he believes his passengers are destined to man the Russian cruisers m the Pacific.
