AUSTRIA REJECTS RUSSIAN ADVANCES.
LONDON, May 3. England assents to the Austrian occupation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Austria refuses the Pvussian advances, and acts separately. Mr Secretary Cross, at Preston, re affirmed that England's policy was m the interests and honour of the nation. The working men have mobbed the Burnley Unionist committee, and assailed the Blackburn committee, for refusing relief daring the strike to non- unionists. Two thousand men on the North British Railway struck against an iucrease of the working hours from 51 to 54 hours per week.
The Duke of Connau flit's betrothal to the Princess Louise takes place on May Üb'h.
