GATHERING FOR THE MEET ING. (fhom our special correspondent, I>eb electrkj telkgkal'if.) Saturday. Yestehday there was a great mass of natives present, some 5000 altogether. Murmurs were getting so strong at Sir George Grey's nonappearance that something had to be done. Many were talking 1 of leaving- It is without doubt the lirgest meeting hekl sinoe the war. The main road, the whole length of the settlement, some half a mile, is oue crowd of natives, dancing, yelling, and carrying food. Nineteen head of c.ittle were killed, 89(> t> a g s f|our, and a stack of potatoes and kumeras (103 feet long by 8 feet wide and 5 feet high) were distributed. This put all m good humor.
