CAMBRIDGE FARMERS' CLUB.
PLOUGHING MATCH,
The Committee appointed at the last meeting qf the Farmers' Club to carry out the annual ploughing oiatch met at the Club Room on Tuesday afternoon, last, for the trail saction of business. All the members were present, viz. Messrs H. A. C. Fergusson, James Runcimaun, Jno. Hunt, Richard Reynolds and H. Buttle. On the motion of Mr Ruucimann, Mr H. A. C. Fergusson was elected Chairman of the Committee, • It was decided to hold the ploughing match on Thursday, the I.lth of July, m a paddock to be selected by r the Committee at an early date. Competition will be invited m fourclasses, class 1, for double furrow ploughs, class 2, for single furrow, class .3, for boys under 1G years of age, and class 4, for maoris. A prize list was prepared amounting to 38, which the Secretary was requested to publish m the Waikato Times. Extra priz3s will be advertised from time to time as they may be given. Regulations were drawn up and persons named to be written to as judges, and -the meeting adjourned until Saturday, the 4th May.
