(Farewell address to Rev. J. Smith). Thb addition to the Chapel was sufficiently near completion to allow of the whole building being used for the occasion. There were six tables, presided over by Mesdames Walker, Norris, Booth, Johnson, and the Missea Brown. About two hundred people sat down to tea before the- tables were removed,. and did full justice to the delicacies that are usually provided on such occasions. The building, having been- cleared, Mr D. Caley," of Pukerimu took the chair. Addresses were given by Revs J. Smith, Grarlick: and Mr Millar, of Paterangi. Selections of music were given by the choir under the couductorship of Mr C. D. Mackintosh. Mr Gr. I. Neal, on behalf of the congregation, presented the Rev J. Smith with a purse of sovereigns with the usual compliments. The Rev J. Smith acknowledod the gift with appropriate remarks. The whole entertainment was a. great success, and the proceeds must have been about £'60. — COBEE3POXDENT.
