Owing to pressure on our space, the report of the R.M. Court, Hamilton, and other matter, is, unavoidably, crowded out. Presbyterian Church, Cambridge. >— The soiree and entertainment, in aid of the building fund, will take place on Monday evening next. The First Meeting of the creditors in the insolvent estate of Mr John Gage, of Whatawhata, will be held on Wednesday next, at the' Court House, Hamilton, at 2 p.m. , Tenders for additions to the post and telegraph office at Hamilton will be received until noon of Monday next, at Wellington, and may be forwarded by telegraph on the usual conditions.

A Public Hall at Raglan will be opened on Wednesday next with a soiree and ball. The Hall, we understand, is a very handsome and commodious building, and does the enterprise of Mr Powell great credit. The "Following* Tenders have been accepted for works on the Hamilton and Hokonui road:—No. 1, P. Quinn, Bs. per chain, and lOd \ per yard earthwork; No. 2, S. and J. Willis, 3s. per chain. Cambridge Farmebs' Club.—The usual i monthly meeting of the members of the Club takes place this afternoon, at two o'clock, when the revision of the rules of the association will be proceeded with. Erection of Store at Cambridge.— Tenders will be received, until noon of Wednesday, for the erection of a store at Cambridge.- Plans and specifications may be seen on application to Mr J". W. Merrick, to whom tenders must be addressed. The Rev. Ms Watkin, the Wesleyan minister newly appointed to the Waikato charge, will preach the re - opening sermons —in connection with the enlargement of the Wesleyan Church in Cambridge —at 11 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. to-morrow. Collections will be made at both services in aid of the building fund. It. is reported—and credibly, we believe —that the Hon. the Native Minister (Mr Sheehan) will return .to . Waikato on Monday, for tho purpose of arranging several matters of business with the natives at Tamahere. We also learn, and. on equally reliable authority, that Ministers will not return for the much-talked.-of native meeting, said now to be about to come off on the 30th instant, as all idea of holding it has been abandoned by the principal natives concerned.

The Rangiriri Cemetry.—Mr R. R. Hunt, a short time since, received the promise of a grant of £2O from the Hon. Mr Sheehau and the Hon. (Jul. Whitmore to be applied to the purpose of fencing in the graves of the officers and soldiers who fell at the storming of the. Rangiriri Pah during the late war. Ministers indeed have authorized Mr Hunt to expend the money, which will be aboutjßufliciontto supply a good substantial fence of puriri posts aud titrco rails, and to plant it with quicks. When Mr Hunt calls for tenders for the work we shall be happy to insert his advertisement free of charge for such an object. Promotion of Sergeant McGovern.— Our readers will be glad to learn that Sergeant McGovern has been promoted another step in recognition of the position, as officer in charge of the "Waikato police, which he now holds, and as a reward for the thoroughly efficient, impartial, and judicious manner in which the duties entrusted to him have been discharged. The promotion has been made on the recommendation of Inspector Thomson, the head of the police in the Auckland Provincial District, and the intelligence will be received with satisfaction in the Waikato, where Sergeant McGovern enjoys a well earned popularity as combining in his person the qualities' of a strictly zealous officer with that of a peace making, kindly dispositiojjed neighbor.
