LODGERS FRANCHISE.

As several enquiries have been made of us, as tc the right of lodgers to register themselves as electors of a district, we may slate for the information of all such as are interested therein that by the Lodgers Franchise Act, 1875. it is provided that Lodgers may exercise the franchise under certain conditions. The applicant to be registered under this Act must be of full age, and as a lodger have occupied in the same electoral district separately and as a sole tenant for twelve ' months preceding the last day of December in any year the same lodgings, such lodgings being part of one and the same dwelling house, and of a clear yearly value, if let unfurnished of £lO or upwards.
