For the Turkish Indemnity 1410 million roubles, certain territory in Armenia will be taken, as representing 1100 million roubles, and Ihe balance of 310 million roubles to be paid in cash. March 7. The indemnity to be paid by Turkey is fixed ■ at 1,410,000,000 roubles [about £177,000,000.] It is expected that the European Peace Congress will be held at Berlin, and be presided over by Bismarck, instead of the Conference being held at Baden Baden. March 8. Earl Derby, in replying 1 to a question, confirmed the announcement that a European Conference is to be hold at Berlin, for the holding of which Austria opened negotiations on the basis proposed by England; and added that the whole

t'reaty of peace between Russia untl Turkey bo submitted to the Confu re nee. In the course of a long debate, Earl Derby said, although Ihe Treaties of ' 1856 and 1871 did not now virtually exist, they must, be held- to. be binding till Europe sanctioned a substituie. He hopei the Conference would effect a European, and not merely a Russian, settlement of the Eastern Question, which, at a later period, would involve difficulties, tbe issue ot which were uncertain.
