HARAPEPE.
March Bth. A MEETING of the householders of the PiroDgia District was held in the school-house, Harapepe on Saturday the 2nd. It was advertised for 2 p.m., but was nearer 3 p.m , to k elect a naw schooljcommittee. Those who one would suppose were mest interested in the management of tLe school, viz., those sending children to the school, were conspicuous by their absence, and if it had not been for many single men attending, the meeeting would have been a failure. Mr A. Sherrett was -voted to the chair. ' The minutes oi the last annual meeting were read and confirmed. The chairman then read the instructions from the Board di Education, Mr James Sherrefy
asked if it was the unanimous wish of the late committee that the use of the school-house be denied to the Highway Board, and it seems that it was not, but had been carried by majoaity.
Erosls are early this year. There was one in this district on the morning of the 6th. — Own Correspondent.
