A meeting was held at the Club House, at 2 p.m, on Saturday, 15th February.

The minutes of last meeting were read and confirmed. Messrs J. Buckland and Thomas O.iwkwell were admitted members >v the usua' manner. CORRESPONDENCE. ''he Secretary read a letter from ;he Pu'jlic Works Office, re the placing of cattle trucks on the Auckland and Puniu Railway, stating that the request of the members of thf Farmers' C^ub, that UH-tle trucks be put upon the line luid been referred to the Commissioner of Constructed Kail ways, with a view to completion therewith if circumstances would permit. Air F. Hicks also gave the -ecretary a letter from the Waikato Steam Navigation Company to himself, offering to take sheep from Catubtidge at 9d per head for 120 at a time. • Mr Hicks had applied that it be done for 6d per beau, this ihe Company relumed to do. FREIGHT ON AGRICULTURAL SEKDS« Eule 6 was suspended to enable Mr Fergussou to bring lorward a motion on the questiou of freight on agricultual seeds, *vho accordingly moved that the Secretary telegraph at once to the Commissioner of constructed railways, requesting that f> eight on agricultural seeds be reduced to the ordinary tariff. He had seen a letter m the paper statiug that ireight on clover seed was double that on ordinary goods- This, of course, pressed heavily on the agriculturalists, and should be remedied. Mr A. A. Faiuham seconded. Carried unaminously. NOTICES OF MOTIONMr R. Fegusson gave notice that he would move at next meetiDg that the Committee be relieved Irom the duty of taking into consideration any persons name wlio wishes to be proposed by any member of the club for elecion. Mr F. Hicks ga*e' notice that he would move that a goid medal of the value oi ten pounds be given for the best crop of ten acres of turnips m the 'district' Mr Hunt gave notice that at next meeting he would read a paper on rotation of crops.
