COUNTY AND BOROUGH CONFERENCE.

T^E conference of the County and Borough Councils has been fixed for Friday ufternoou, at 2 p.m. at the Cdqrt House, Hamilton. Last night, MesUrs Brodie, Holli* and W. Thorbora arrived Irom the Thames, and Dr Kilgour (tbe Mayor) and Messrs Gibbons and Speucer, on behalf of the Thames Borough, may be expected to-day, the Waikato Connoil members aad Hamilton Borough Councillors will be present. The Piako County Couucil is not working the Aot, aud there is at the present time, we believe, no one holding the office of chairman. This however not prevent individual councillors being 1 present and taking part m a conference on matters so vitally affecting the interests of the Piako district as that of to-morrow undoubtedly will do.
