That the composition of the Eduction Board is a matter of consequence to the public at large, and may become very specially so m individual cases, wa , not so very long- ago, instanced m that of the Hamilton E»st Committee, and it is therefore all the mote advisable that local committees should not neglect to exercise the privi'ege accorded them by the Education Act of 187? — that of electing the membeis of tin 150ar.1. The list of nominated candidates is now before them from which to choose the nine members of the new Education Board. As published m our issue of Saturday, it contained no less than 46 candidates. It will now be for the several School Committees to send m tc the Central Board, before the 28th instant, nine names from the above list as, m their opinion, the most desirable for election. Of all names sunt m from the various local committees the nine having the most voces will be elected.
