Bm,—Since writing on County Council matters on the 2let instant, I have been credibly informed that jßaniuel Thomas Seddon, Esq., JJP. Ysaye the mark), m his characteristic high-handed endeavors to advance the interests of a candidate informed a burgess (glancing upwards at the same time) that I sold my vote m the Waikato Council to, Cambridge for. a dinner. Alt bis chocolate soil with the swamp thrown in,-Htnuch less a dinner, — would not influence my vote one way or the other. I voted on that occasion as on every other—conscientiously —accord* ing to my views of juatioe and expediency. I will further say that lam not m the habit of lying or carrying tales, nor have % been under the necessity of eating my own words for fear; of the "Laird." "Those who live m glass houses," etc., etc. —l am, £c, W«. CnadMQ. Hamilton, January 23. . -
