[From Our Special Correspondent.] Government Buildings, Lastnighfc. WANT OF CONFIDENCE MOTION. There is very little news stirring. The -want oi confidence motion w-ill positne.y be given notice of on "W'edneM ay, the Opposition desiring to fcte the religions clauses of the Education Bill first disposed of. It will lie a very close thing. EDUCATION BILL. All to-day's sitting has been occupied with the Education Bill in Committee. Clauses < 9 to 83 inclusive, were i brown out by 38 to 31. These- are the clauses authorising the levying of a capitation tax. The .rei%Joua clauses are now on and the discuhfcion is likely to be lively. . ~~ DISQUALIFICATION. » . . . ... JMr Keen has given notice of motion for a committee to enquire whether Mr Kennedy has not forfeited his stat as ; being contractor to the Govorhment for the supply of coals to Government offices. He said tbatthe Brunner Coal Company which baß Ihe contract consists of less than seven persons.
