The Speech concluded as follows :— " Efforts will be maie when opportunity occurs . to restore peace, m terms compatible with the honour of the belligerents and -general safety and welfare of other nations. If during the contest our interests " are assailed or endangered, I rely with confidence on your help to vindicate and maintain our rights."
