Robert Hill pleaded guilty to the above offence. He h»ad been picked up senseless on the pathway in Viotoriastre t on Saturday nighfe. In answer to questions from the Court, Sergt McQ-overn stated that this was prisoner's fifth offjnoe, that ha had a wife and family to support, and tliut when picked up he had I >s in bU packet which *>j his, the Sergt'a directions to the lookup keeper, had bsen handed over that, night to the wife fDr-the family's support ou Sunday. The Court severely lectured the prisoner on h!a disgraceful conduct and inflicted a penalty of 20a or 4S hours' imprisonment.
