THE TWELFTH OF JULY AND THE ORANGEMEN OF AUCKLAND.
At one o'clock, the Orange Lodges rendezvoused at Newton, aud shortly after that time between 300 and 4 0 members of the Society, including repreeeutativea from sixteen out of twenty-live Lodges had assembled at the Hall. All the city lodges, the Waikato lodges, and tb.B Ouehunga and Otahahu lodge were sfcroogly represented, and delegates were preSßnt from Gisbor-ie and Napier. Nearly all those present wore zoguiia. formed. tt ud started on its journey in the following order ; - - Band '„ ■'-'- The British Ensign >,-T he Gran(i T y ler with Drawn-Sword Othoera carrying the Bible and the Grrand Warrant The Deputy-Master The B'ack Flag Banner No. 1, Loyal Or Lodge Banner tfo. 3, Loyal Orange Lodge The Ooromaodel Banner Newmarket True Blue Banner. ' The procession marched along Karangahape Riiod, Grey street, Queiu street, Shortland street, Wateloo Quadrant, Alten Road, and Pamell, and in the course of its progress attracted ooasiderP*le attention.
