The Torres Straits Mail, of date, London May 25, brings news that General Alalakoff reports that the Russians captured at Ardahan immense quantities of artillery, stores, and 25 Krupp guns, - and that a large number of Turks were taken prisoners. The admirable fire of the .Russian artillery speedily made a breach in the. walls. The Turks fled when the assault took place, leaviog great numbers of dead. A court martial had been ordered on the Turkish Commandant, for not offering a better resistance. An encounter occurred between n British guuboat and Spanish smugglers, at Camp Bay. The smugglers surrendered.
