Sergeant McGovern Bail, this was a common oSjuuq about the streets of tLacuiltoQ, aud a very dangerous one to the public. An example would havejto be made in such casss. He thought that, at least, a substantial fine should be inflicted. After a severe lecture from the Bench, a flue of live pouu.ls, a, id coats, was inflicted, or, in defaulc, 14 days imprisonment in Ngaruawabia Gaol.
