MANGAPIKO HIGHWAY DISTRICT.

Thr annual meeting of ratepayers of tbe Mangapiko Highway district was beld iu the Paterangi SchooMionso, Saturday last. About fifty rat»u»yers were present. Proposed by Mr Tisdall. and seconded by Mr Meredith, that Mr Mackay take the chair The Chairman having read the advertisement convening the meeting, Mr Tisdall (Chairman of the local body) read his report. The Secretary then read the annual statement of accounts of the past year as follows : —

The following ratepayers were propsed as trustees for the ensuing year : Meesw Tisda'l, Hume, Kutherford, J fl Scott, and Goodfellow; and declared duly elected. Messrs Legeitwood, and A J Scott were elected Auditors. Meassrs J Wabb, and Moredith were elected to aot as fence-viewers. Mr Grarmann proposed, and Mr Roche seconded, a vote of thinks to the outgoing trustees, which was carriedjby acclamatiou. A. vote of thanks having been passed unanimously to the Chairman, the meeting serrated..
