A, constable was accordsingly sent, and since then, peace ha* ireigLed in the district; bo* now Te A w amutu wants a constable, aod •ours is the one chosen, and so far as 1 am aware, no other «omstable is •coming here. It will be a great injustice and one that the Whatawhata settlers will net subtait to. district has grown rapidly, and there is no doubt, but that the presence of one constable has presented many a'serious disturbance.
