Sib,?— There seems to be some misapprehension with regard to the debatingsociety whioh has just been formed here. One or two teem to think that the local ■which appeared in your issue of to-day concerning,: the Literary Society, would not be understood (as I certainly understood it) to mean that the former had no connection with tho latter ; tbe one being : for discussions and lectures, and the other fitly for the circulation of literature, in the shape of magazines ?and other period* ioals.
