CAMBRIDGE, SATURDAY, MAY 12TH. (Before W. N. Searancke, Esq, R.M) CRIMINAL SIDE. # Three drunkards were fiwt summarily disposed of. "..••. XAttCENY. - Charles Hickman was charged, on tho information of Constable Brenuan, with stealing a martingale, bub the case was dismissed. The same defendant was then charged, ou the information of Ngataru, an abo' riginal native, wick killmg certain pigs, with inteut to steal the same. \ In this c«e, also, the evidence broke down, and, as the former, was dismissed with costs. HABITUAL -iKTJNKARD. John Smith, alias 'Tommy the Clock,' charged by constable Brennan with being a habitual drunkard, was sentenced to three months imprisonment, with hard labour. Civil Side.
