SPECIAL TELEGRAMS, [Press Agency,] Auckland, last night. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile' Agency Company (Limited) have received the following produce telegram :—“ London, May 9. Wool sales opened at average decline of Id to on last sale prices. Since the close of last sales greasy had declined Id, scoured 2d, clothing (washed) 2d per pound. The principal decline has been in cross-bred, 16,000 bales have been sent to the manufacturing districts direct. Trade in the manufacturing districts is unchanged. Wheat market quiet. Adelaide worth 72s ; New Zealand 70s per 4961b.” Twelve candidates for the Qnehunga Council are nominated. Moanatairi, £9 10s.
