WAIKATO COUNTY COUNCIL.

T^b fifth monthly meeting of the Waikato County Gouncil was held at the Gouncil Chamber, Hamilton East, on Friday latft, the 27th inst,, at 3 o'clock p.m. . . , . \ Present : —-. Councillors Gr. E? Clarke, Robert I£irkwood, William Cumming, John Gall, John B. Whyte. In the absence of the Chairman, Cr Whyte moved, and Cr Clarke seqqndecj, a motion, " That Cr Cumraing take the chair.'? Councillor Camming having taken the ohair, the clerk reported that he bad received a telegram from the Chairman, Cr Claude (who was absent on business at Auckland) that he would be unable to return m time |for tke meeting; leave of absence was consequently granted to him.
