Auckland, last night

Mrs Scott, wife of a man employed on a steamer at Ouehunga, died under circumstances leading to suspicion of poison. She was confined on Thursday, bat ' exhibited symptoms oi unusual character and died on Friday morning. Three doctors attended her. Dr Ross sus-. pected that symptoms showed poison and saved foam from her lips m a bottle and submitted the same to Tunny, the Provincial Analyst, who found arsenic. The police were informed on Saturday morning- that the woman was buried on Friday the day of Her death. They are investigating the case. CITY WEST ELECTION. . Dr Wallis and Mr Qm 1 ::^ are nominated.
