{Wednesday January 17.) Present Councillor Claude (Chairman), and Councillors Clark, wood, and Whyte. Three applications were received for the office of clerk, and Captain MePherson wa3 appointed to the office at a salary of £150 per aunum. The office hours were fixed by the council, namely : from 12 till 4 p.m. oa Tuesdays and Saturdays. The Fridays on or before full moon, were appointed as the days for the regular ordinary meetings of the council, and Friday, the 23rd of Feruary appointed for the next day of meeting. ''
