PIAKO COUNTY MEETING.
The members of Ihe Piako Council met on Tuesday, «t noon, at Mr Crawford's Btore. Present : Messrs Ohephell, Ferguason, Firth, Forrest, Gubbins, Williams, and Major George. Mr E>. H. D. Fergusson was elected permanent chtirman, Mr Williams clerk to the Council, and Mr J. 0. Firth treasurer.
It was resolved, m accordance with olause eleven of the Counties Act, that such part of the Act as is included m schedule 3 should not be brought into force m the Piako County. It was resolved to hold the next meeting at Matamata, after which the Council separated.
