The new Turkish Constitution promulgated on the 23rd provides for the establishment of a Constitutional Government, a Chamber of Deputies, with Ministerial responsibility, religious liberty, legal equality regarding all subjects of the Ottoman Empire. (t) To be held under the presidency of Sir Henry Elliott, who leaves for Stamboul on the 28th instant.
Sydney, December 28. Another case of smallpox has broken out in the steamer 'Brisbane.'
Melbourne, December 28. The Cricket Match waa resumed to-day. The weather was fine and dull, but no rain. There was a large attendance. At present two Victorian wickets are down for SO.
December 29. The Victorians completed their innings for a total of 190. Midwinter scored 41, and Horan 34. Briseis is sbill the favourite for the Champion race.
