Thj Legislature of that State refused admittance to the Democratic members. Suty-four withdrew. President Grant has placed a number of troop« at the disposal of the Governor of South Carolina to preterve order. The Democrats protest agaioit thu action, and declare tbac they are peaceable. They are still counting vote*. The eleoti mof Presidt nt in Louisiana and Florida is still proceeding.
