THE OPPOSITION CAUCUS.
The Otago, Canterbury, and Auckland Committees met to-day, and had a long conference, the result of which was n determination to bring down a direct vote of Want of Confidence. Notice of this will probably bo given to-morrow. Meantime communication is being opened with such members from other provinces as are supposed lo entertain a feeling antagonistic to the Government, or to be open to iuduceiuenh The Government feel secure against any combination that can be made. Mr Thos Russell is spoken of as the new Agent-GreueraL
