PARLIAMENTARY. Wellington, last night.
The "New Zealand Times" to-day quotes in leading article the Wjlikato Times article of Ist inst, re Grey's relations with Kingites. and shews by quotations from reports of officers in native districts that as long ago as October last, Tawhiao frequuently expressed anxiety to meet Sir'^ Donald McLean at Kapua or Kaipahi. The "Times" thus disproves Grey's statement in the House last week, that the meeting was forced on Kingites, and that, the invitation came from Government. Arrangements have been made between Sir Julius Vogel and Sir George Grey to take great debate on Tuesday. Canterbury and Otago members meet in caucus to-morrow, to discuss separation proposals. DuNEDrn, last night. Curling held on ice in Novt)i East Valley. Hokitika, last night. . Arrived— The Albion from Melbourne.
