The following return shews the number | of cattle supplied to the Auckland market daring the three months ending 30th Jane 1876. it docs not include cvtfe that have been driven to the Thames from Waikato which would swell the number by a considerable amount, were such the case. Of the veturn furnished below many droves were noticed at the time as on their road to the market hy / the Waikato Times, but we regret to say that the number of those who neglected to avail themselves of having' their proposed supply for the Auckland market gratuitously noticed was greater than that of those who gave such notice for the general benefit, if every settler having cattle to send to, market would announce beforehand his intention of forwarding them at a parti. ■■ cular date, others would know luwr to time their supply, «o that the market would never be at any one time overstocked.
