Tho 'mooting of the Committee of the "Waikato Pastoral Agricultuaal Association that was to have taken, place prior to the sale did not como off for w.uit of a 'quorum, only one member from Alexandra and one from Ngaruawalria put in an nppeavancc, besides the Secretary. The (Secretary read a letter from the Turf Club •ottering the race course for the erection of yaids &c, at an annual routalof ten-pounds. 'Thcoflbr was declined and ifc was resolved that the show be held at Ohaupo. It was ) roposed by Mv Mandeno ami seconded •by Mr Hunt that Messrs Steel e, .Buttle, •and Gubbins be added to the Cornmitte. 'This was not agreed to. It %'jis resolved that the Committee canvass their respective districts ior members and subscriptions, and report to next meeting. notice that ho would at next mooting propose that the Committee be rnlar^od bo as to mere fully represent each district. A question put by Mr Battle elicited the fact that the Association, actually consisted of three members at present. It was resolved that the Secretary tako down all the names an the roomand the subscription as well, which iut once swelled the Association to a very Tospectable basis. Tho Secretary also reported that the Central \V. A. had made a>donation from their surplus funds on winding up, of ten pounds to tho new Association.
