ALEXANDRA'S FAREWELL.

Mine host 'good-bye ! one last embrace, O cruel fate, our souli to sever ; Yet in our hearts' most sacred place, 'Tv tbou alone •halt dwell for tier. The dogs even lie down to the universal sorrow and ar* too heartbroken to "go for" the lively flea, labile ever and aoon lugubrious howls wake tht echoei of those lone hilli — WhyP Because anot'ier resident it departing from our midst. We will meet but we -will miss him. That youthful yet portly form, that cheerful countenance, that broad and ample brow, that jovial companion and right worthy *hosfc, will travel and be seen by vi no more again for ever. Under the circumstances we resolved to present him with a slight memento which might keep us " grten" in his remembrance.
