Auckland, Friday. A boy named Peachy, while ''doing Blondinl" fell and broke his arm. The ship Brodrick Castle comes all well. The Health Officer passed her at the Head* this morning. The immigrants laud to-morrow. They appear a, very good lot. The Captain reports very fine weather. When off M.-ideira she sighted an abandoned ship, the Sparkenhoe, of Dubiin, lying on her beam ends, with sails torn to ribbons. One woman and two children died on the voyage. The Union Beach mine to-day -declared a dividend ef 3s. per share. Himiona, the Te Teko murderer, was brought to tov»i iv the Rowena.
Welun&ton. A respectable-looking couple wei'e sen. tonced to a month's imprisonment each for indecency in the Botanical Gardens. The Hon W Swaiuaon, of Auckland, formerly Attorney-General, is gazetted as ,i member of the Executive Council.
