At the same place, however, he broke ogam in tho second and last time round and the distance to tho winning poifc heing too short to be pulled up, Lady won easily. CAMBRIDGE CUP HANDICAP U MILES. Don 1 Clipper 2 Master 0 This was the race of the day tome iplendid running was made, Clipper nnd the Don keeping close company the whole distance. Tho last named hor^o won by about a nock. The Connt woi scratched. PONY RACE. Lanty 1 Tommy 2 Plum 3 Dandy 4 A protest was lodged by tho owner of the hird horao againit the first and second, on the ground of over height. Up to a late hour in the evening no deciaion had been arrived at by the Stewards. Tho last r*ce was the Hurry Scurry. For this thore was a large number of horSes entered cevernl being owned and ridden hj Maoriei. Won by Btranger. The course although not the best in th« district was in very good ord*r and the thanks of Ihe community are due to Mr Taylor for his kindness in placing it at the disposal of the committee.
