CAMBRIDGE FARMERS CLUB.

The adjourned meeting of the abov« Club was held at the National Hotel, Cambridge, on Saturday last, the 20th inst, but on account of the very inclement state of the weather was not as well attended as it might have been. Ther* were some ndne members present. Mr George Clark occupied the chair. The business of the meeting was tho admission of new members and the election of officers for the ensning year' Messrs J A Douglas and S Graham were by ballot admitted ai members, and the following gentlemen were elected to tho several offices -• President, the hon Every McLean, Vice-Presidenfc, Mr Rich Parker; Secretary and Treasurer, Mr Henry Butler. A discussion took place npon the desirableness of there being a general registry for cattle brands kept in tho district and Mr J A Douglas gavo notice of motion that he would move a resolution to that effect at the next Meeting, The folk) wing resolution was also passed viz : " That this Club regrets the oversight made by the Editor of the Waikat© Times in not furnishing a repoit in any form of the Agricultural .Show lately held in Auckland, this being an agricultural and pastoral district," The subject of formieg- a Provincial Agricultural Association for the purpose of holding an annual show alternately at Ellerslie and Hamilton, was brought before the meeting, and the opinion of the members was that it would be very desirable that such an Association shonld be formed but no immediate action was taken in the matter.
