The Horticultural Show to-day was a great success. There wore some very good exhibits of vegetables, and amongst the flowers the roses were specially remarkab'e for their excellence. Other exhibits were, however, few. Some evil disposed persons cut the Enterprise, No. 1 steamer, loose last night.She drifted down to the Kangitoto chan nel and back again without injury. The cavalry and artillery rifle match to day, resulted in the cavalry scoring 27-4 against the artillery 282. Produce sales to-day: Fowls, largo, 2a Gd to 2s lOd ; potatoes, new, Id per lb ; cheese, 7M toB£d; Anckland bicon, od. Napier. Mr Colenso announces his candidature for Sir Donald McLeans seat. Mr Stuart is also a candidate.
