jAMEg Babies v J. Wadb.— Tlie comp'ain* ant in this case charged defendant vrith harin'g aisaulted him by striking him in the eye with hit Bit. It appeared from the Joridenoe that complainant rtmonstrated with de p eoda»t about hit treatment of a boy on board the steamer, vrheneupon the Captain committed the asiault. Defendant pleaded provocation. His Worship, after heating the evidence inflicted a fine of 10* and cost*.
CIVIL CASES. SftriAD. — Three unimportant oaiet were settled out of .court Dn Fliood v Vkjth.— This was « claim of £16 5s 6d for professional attendance on def«nd • ant's wife when she fr*oturod her leg. Defend* ant did not deny the olaim, but contended that the fees charged were excesiira. HU Worship, after hearing eridence gave judgment for the amount claimed, with costs, 19a. . This concluded the business.
