The P. S. Waikato left Merger on Saturday morning with" about 75 immigrants and'theii\luggage, arriving at Hamilton at 2 , p m, having made the run in 8 hours. 'After discharging her Jiving freight, aud their luggage, she left immediately for Mercer. The fresh importation are a promising looking lot for good colonists. The s. s. Alert arrived here on Saturday evening vith passengers from Mercer, and proceeded to Cambridge immediately after. The s. s. Alert arrived from Cambridge at 7.30 yesterday morning, and left at 9.30 with passengers and mails for Newcastle and Auckland.
