Waikito Times Office, Friday evening. Mr James P Neill will sell by auction to-day, at Cambridge, forty head of cattle, cowi, calves, and •teers. Doubtless there will be a large attendance. | We direct attention to Mr Knoxs Land Sale at Te Awamutu, this day. Mr Knoxs auction <ale of sundries, was well attended yesterday, and the various goods submitted realised fair prices. AUCKLAND CATTLE MARKET. Mr Alfred Buckland Reports as follows :— At the ■tie held in Ohaupo ©n Tuesday last, there was a larger muster of c&ttle than advertised. 480 head yarded, all in very low condition. Bidding was steady throughout the sale for all descriptions of stock offered, and none were withdrawn. They were principally young cattle, from one to two •years-old. Steers were relatively iv better request than heifers, but all obtained prices fully equal, and in many instances in advance of Auckland markets. At Remuera, on Thursday, dairy cattle were plentiful, and of good quality , but dull of iale and at lower prices. Store cattle in average numbers. Well-bred Btock in demand at late values. Coarse cattle, dull of sale. Fat cattle in usual numbers ; 134 head ■old. A few choice animals realised last week's values, but the greater number were at lower prices. Fat sheep were in usual numbers, 750 sold. The advance in price obtained last week w*s sustained. Lambs plentiful and in better demand ; last week's prices ruled. Prices given :~Calves, 25s to 40s ; 12 to 15-months-old, 50s to 75s ; two-year-olds, L 3 to \ L 4 10s; grown cows, L 3 10s to L 6; three-year-old steers, L 5 to L 7; dairy cows, L 5 to L8 10s. The greater part of the fat cattle, 30s to 365, a few at 37s 6d the 1 00 lbs. Sheep, in their wool, 4jd;. shorn, 3jd the lb ; lambs, *Z3s and lis the couple The entire "Royal Charlei," L3O ; a plough-mare, Ll9; hacks, from LlO to Ll3 each.
