The Railway Regulations allow each passenger to cany free of charge^ fifty-six lbs of luggage. Over that quantity the charge is one shilling for tvery additional nfty-six pounds, or fraction of that weight. Thus, three passengers travelling together can take half a hundred weight each, but, if they take one hundred and seventy pounds, they will have to pay a shilling for the extra two pounds. In the Supreme Court the act ion Clark v. Patrick Ryan struck an unoffending man named Edwards, who was standing at Oopeland's corner, a severe blow on the eye, damaging it frightfully. Sir George Grey proceeds to Wellington in the Luna on Saturday. In distributing the Grammar School prizes to-day, he said he looked to the unselfishness of the rising generation to appreciate his efforts. He also said he had collected manuscripts which would be of great advantage to future historians.
